pain redux
Hey everyone. Thanks for the concern. No, I haven't been to a doctor. I crashed at 02:00 - at 04:00 I woke up. I think I rolled onto that side or something. I tried to crash again but gave up at 04:44 (memorable time) and ended up getting up and watching some TV and some of the Animatrix extras before heading into work for 08:00. The spasms seem to have stopped. I have a slight crick, and the muscle is achy, but the bad pain stopped. So unless it starts again, I think things are OK. I'm just a bit tired.

I am: tired tired
Current Media: office buzz

I am normally the person who thinks a really hot shower and a bunch of ibuprofen (better at muscle relaxation than any of the previous mass-marketed painkillers, as any woman will tell you) is a better choice than seeing a doctor, but I have to say that it seems like finding your way to medical attention would be a hell of a lot easier when you are not in agony.

In any case, bring a list of your medications with you if you decide to go, there are things that cause muscle spasms. I read recently that the number one cause of new problems is other medications the person is taking.

Certainly you should make a note somewhere and mention this the next time you have a reason to contact your doctor. Weird ass things like this should be tracked.

an *excellent* point. Didn't your doctor put you on new meds recently, Zoner?

At the very least call your primary care physician and have them note this in your file.

If you don't remember actually aggravating it, it might be stress related. I know when I get stressed out about stuff, my body lets me know. Drugs will help, but just stopping a few times a day and relieving some stress which ever way works best for you (but still legal) will help a lot. It's hard to take time and stop what you're doing when you're all stressed out and trying to get something done, but you'll be more productive and feel better if you let go of some of the stress.

Thanks....I think that you sent it to me. argh. I am glad that you are feeling better. I am experiencing a huge back spasm & had one on Monday as well. I think I slept way too much this weekend & kinked the hell out of my back. Get brain out of gutter, there you go:)
