Renewals
Interestingly enough my anniversary date at work, 11/11, is the same day I first paid for my LJ. I just renewed my LJ account for another year.

I should have my first annual review soon. I'm confident it will go well. The only *possible* issue is the hours a keep - I keep coming in WAY late, even for me - but the total hours I work are WELL beyond 40 on average. And the quality *and* quantity of my work are, IMHO, exceptional. So now I just wonder if the company will reward me for busting my ass or not.

Oddly enough... I should be starting a new contract job on 11-11... unless I totally blow the interview.

Workin' for da man!

When I started back at Monster, I was coming in at 9:30. Before long, that changed to 10am. A year later, between 10:00 and 10:30. After that, sometimes as late as 10:45 (later on very rare occasions). Now I shoot for 10am and usually end up between 10:00 and 10:15. My boss has never complained. She knows I stay late. ...not that she sticks around. I'm usually the last to leave and always leave after her.

My argument (in case the issue ever came up) is that there are plenty of people in early and if any issues came up (broken page, ads not running, etc) then they can deal with it. Since I stay late, I cover the later hours. ...and since most of the problems from Europe would be waiting for people when they get in in the morning...and fixed by the time I roll in, I don't mind. ;)

Because I'm backup for the phone support line, I'm required to take the hours of 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. The thing is, this strigency leads me to leave exactly when the clock hits 5:30 pm, unless I'm really in the middle of something. When I could come in between 9 and 9:30 am, I'd leave closer to 7 or 8 pm everynight and often stay even later. They get a lot less out of me now.
