Lost Weekend
Well, I don't know what happened, but the weekend is over. I was going to try to get some shopping done this weekend, but never did. I slept WAY, WAY too much - and I still feel tired. (In fact, I'm going to bed right after I post this...) Why the hell am I so tired lately? I can't seem to sleep enough to feel rested.

Anyway, tonight the horde did dinner at the New York Korean Restaurant. I'd never been there, and I couldn't find the place. I defied my chromosomes after driving around for a while and called for help. I'm glad that I did, the food was WAY yummy! For a reasonable price you got a ton of yummy food. And lots of free appetizer veggie things, like kimchee, and melon at the end. And the barley tea was a new experience, and good. I left stuffed and happy. :-)

I also noticed, on the drive there, that the Armadillo Depot has re-opened. I know a lot of gweeps were lamenting it's closing a while back. I never made it in the first time around, so I'll have to check it out now that they're open again.

I supposed you could try to get a `script to Provigil.

No matter how much I sleep, I can always feel a "mass of sleepy" that I have to hold off in my mindspace, and I've been told that that is not normal. I can never sleep enough to make it go away either.

'Mass of sleepy' - that's probably the best description I've heard. I always kind of thought that was normal, I pretty much *always* feel like I could use a nap at any given time.

I had the sleepy problem for a while. My doctor told me to get more calcium because that helps carry oxygen in your blood. So, if you don't have enough, you don't sleep the night through, even if you think you are. It's something to try at the very least. They have huge numbers of calcium supplements over the counter, if you don't drink 17 glasses of milk a day...

Well, I take a multivitamin every day which has calcium - and there are the Tums I eat quite often.

Another thing that can cause the always-sleepy problem is when your internal clock gets stuck in the OFF position because your brain chemistry is FUBAR. You don't feel rested no matter how much sleep you get, then you don't feel like doing anything at all, and then you get random aches and pains.

I get this a lot. (Then again, I have anxiety problems, so my brain chemistry is always a little off, and I sometimes need Happy Pills to fix it.)

Try blowing off work for a couple weeks and just hanging out with fun people and generally being of no value to anyone who Doesn't Get It(tm). :)

(And if that doesn't work, try Paxil. *wl* )

Strangely enough, my wife has this problem. She always wants to sleep.
I'll take some of the advice given here and pass them along.
