I think one quiz would eat the other...

tabby cat
You are a tabby cat. The total home-body. You'd be
content just to stay at home all day and not
get up from the couch. You lazy sloth! Try and
make a movement every now and then, or someone
might decide to bury you in the back yard!

What color of cat are you?

Earth
Your element is Earth. I hate to say it but you are
down to earth. Stubborn and loyal. You tend to
want to nurture others and you are the one
person friends always come to for awnsers.
Without people like you others would be flying
over the edge because, whether you know it or
not you keep a steady beat to your life and
will end up where you want to in the end. There
is a sureness about you that is hard to match
that draws people to you. No matter what
happens the Earth keeps turning.

Movies

I have the jones to see a movie tonight - get out of the house, get some dinner, catch a flick. Just to not sit home.

So of course it looks like all the movies out now SUCK! Well, I've heard mixed things about 'Love Actually', though even if it is OK I'm not sure it is really a fun movie to go see alone. And since I don't know who the hell I could round up to go, I expect this to be alone. I was kind of in the mood for some kind of action or sci-fi, but Timeline looks like it completely blows from all the reviews and comments I've heard. And the previews I've seen left me totally uninspired. I hear Elf is funny but, well, 97 minutes of Will Ferrell in an elf suit might be too much. Most of the previews I saw for it seem to indicate the humor hinges on Will acting like a naive fool. While I find that amusing in small doses, like in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, I don't know if I could handle a whole movie based on it. I've seen Revolutions, several weeks ago, at some point maybe I'll toss in my two cents.

I may end up seeing Master & Commander, that's the only film out now I've really heard good things about and it seems to have a fair bit of action. Not quite what I was hoping to see, but it seems to be the best choice. So the options seem to be staying home or seeing that.

Phone Post: Skipping the movie

“Hey, it's Megazone. Uhm...I think I'm gonna bail on seeing this movie. I went to dinner at Berber's [?] Crossing, over at Greenville Mall; that was fine [fun?]. Been sitting in the parking lot at Showcase North for, I dunno, about an hour, between showings of the film. It's about twenty to midnight; I've been sitting here watching couples and families happily streaming in and out of the movie theater, which has just had me growing increasingly despondent and depressed. So, I don't think I'm gonna bother seeing this flick; at least not tonight. That's it, really; I could have posted this from my Clié, but I just didn't feel like typing the whole thing out. Bye.”

“Addendum to last post: Uh...just so it doesn't sound like I'm going to drive off a bridge, at least tonight: um...that's not totally miserable. It's raining, and I like that—I've been sitting here as I said in the parking lot. I don't think I mentioned that it's been raining since...right since I parked—listening to, uh, what is this, Sting's, what is it, Ten Summoner's Tales, something like that? No, A Brand New Day. Um...listening to the rain hitting the sunroof. It's kind of soothing and nice, actually; I like rain. So I think I'm just going to go out and fawn around in the rain, see how the new tires feel. So, uh, if I do drive off a bridge, it wasn't deliberate, tonight, it was an accident, just in case; 'cause I think that would be kind of silly to have people think that, you know, I offed myself, and really it's just that I was being a fuckwit. Um...'kay now, so I'm taking off. Bye!”
