Well, I'm mostly caught up. I still have a pile of email to dig through - looks like a mix of personal and PMX stuff. Last night I managed to slog through over a week's backlog of LJ. That took literally all night. :-) So I ended up sleeping a good part of the day - which was very welcome. Nothing like sleeping in your own bed. The bed my parents have in their guest room is WAY too soft for me. I'm a big guy, and it offered little support. So I didn't sleep through the night while I was there, and I'd be a little achy in the morning. I also caught up on Orkut - but OK Cupid is still migrating from development to production so I haven't been able to get in yet.
I've just been watching Witch Hunter Robin - it premiered tonight on Cartoon Network. I'd heard about it but hadn't seen it yet. It looks like it will be interesting. (Not too late to catch it, it re-shows at 3AM.)
Anyway I'll try to finish my catching up in the next day or so. Stick with me.
I need to do some work under Perl 5.005 on a FreeBSD box - but I also need to get some modules from CPAN. So I figured I'd setup CPAN and use the client, as I've done before. So I ran 'install Bundle::CPAN'... and it has been plodding on for several HOURS now (like 3 at this point). I swear it is updating *everything* as a dependency. I'm seriously tempted to abort and then just install the modules I need manually...
it just error'd out because it has filled / to 109%?! No room on the file system... Damn it... *mutter*
My Cybertool arrived while I was away and it was waiting for me at the office - and now it is in my hip pocket. Ah, it has really felt weird not having a knife on me for the past several weeks. I've been carrying one for over a decade pretty much every day. It is part of dressing for me.
