TiVo alert: Worcester, MA - Charter Digital Cable
For anyone living in the Worcester, MA area Charter Digital changed their lineup today. Channels have shifted all over the place. TiVo hasn't picked up the changes yet (I just did a call to get the latest data) and Zap2It.com has the same incorrect content. I've submitted a report of the change via the TiVo website.

I am: annoyed annoyed
Current Media: TiVo: Unscrewed

Damn dirty cable companies. And me 300 miles away from my TiVos!

Do you have HMO and remote scheduling? I could tell you the new lineup and you could map it to what's online to make it record what you want...

Re:

I don't think I actually have anything scheduled to record that I particularly care about before I get back home, anyway, but thanks. My only TiVo on the actual digital feed is the DVR-57H, and it only gets a select few SPs of stuff I plan to burn to DVD. Do you know if the Charter analog channels were shifted around, as well?

Yeah, at least some of them moved. TechTV is analog (used to be 39) and it is 66 now.

I'll yell at our local Charter contact guy for you. Or at the very least, find out what happened, so I can try to keep changes like this from messing up *OUR* PVR box (right now in test deployments in Charter).

Thanks. I expect it probably wouldn't hit your box since it is the cable box, and Charter would be providing the lineup data themselves, no? My cable boxes know the score, just not TiVo or TMS.

Re:

Maybe. Maybe not.

You would not believe how amazingly assbackwards stupid the "data flows" are thru the cable tv industry.

They did this to us a few months back with Comcast. It took 2 or 3 days to straighten out and in the mean time I was getting a lot of ECTV.
