Orkut did eventually reply to me:
We sincerely apologize for what has happened. Due to a technical glitch,
we have not been receiving all of the incoming orkut email, and the
messages you began sending on March 22nd did not reach us.
Your account has been unsuspended. In addition, we have also added an
"orkut-certified" symbol to your profile so that you will not be reported
for violating the name regulations by other users.
Again, we're very sorry about this suspension, and we hope you'll be
willing to give us another chance and return to the orkut community.
