I think you are a great person and you need to learn to take care of yourself better, work less, get better sleep, hang out with friends more and generally have more fun.

Heh. Sounds like good advice. :-)

You are way too melodramatic. You need to lighten up.
zonereyrie From: zonereyrie Date: June 1st, 2004 07:54 pm (UTC) (Direct Link)
Yeah, this is true. I seem to swing between not taking things too seriously, and taking things WAY too seriously.

i think you need to stop falling for women under the age of 28.
zonereyrie From: zonereyrie Date: June 1st, 2004 07:53 pm (UTC) (Direct Link)
Heh - remember, when I was 21 I was dating a 28 year old, and a 32 year old after that. Age has never been that big a deal, I like who I like. I don't really seek out women of any given age, I just meet those people. Heck, I'm getting annoyed at OKCupid for always showing me 19-22 year olds as matches unless I force the age bracket higher. :-)

I have had relationships with women within a couple of years of my age, as well as a fair bit older, and yonger. I think Gizmo was the biggest gap going in that direction, and we met by chance.

Stupid question OTD: I think I did this right, by going to editinfo.bml and turning off the IP logging option, then making my post to my LJ. Can I then just go back and reactivate the logging, or do I need to leave it off for a while? i.e. is it post-specific or account-specific?
zonereyrie From: zonereyrie Date: June 1st, 2004 08:00 pm (UTC) (Direct Link)
I believe it is account specific.

you're cute with great eyes... though I think you're cuter with hair :)
zonereyrie From: zonereyrie Date: June 1st, 2004 08:32 pm (UTC) (Direct Link)
Why, thank you. :-)

I think that you say some interesting things but one has to wade through a whole lot of useless crap to see it.
zonereyrie From: zonereyrie Date: June 1st, 2004 09:54 pm (UTC) (Direct Link)
Thanks - and true. There are a lot of things I think of posting that are more serious, but I tend to run out of time/energy before I get around to it.
From: (Anonymous) Date: June 1st, 2004 10:26 pm (UTC) (Direct Link)
You seem awfully sexy. I wish I was in a position to be more flirty and assertive with getting to know you.
zonereyrie From: zonereyrie Date: June 1st, 2004 10:29 pm (UTC) (Direct Link)
Are you sure you have the right LJ? :-) *smile* Thank you - and please, don't hold back. :-) I like flirting. ;-)
From: (Anonymous) Date: June 2nd, 2004 09:09 am (UTC) (Direct Link)
I think to really capture the spirit of the meme, you should stop screening anonymous comments. It's all about unchecked flaming and rampant propositions.
zonereyrie From: zonereyrie Date: June 2nd, 2004 10:35 am (UTC) (Direct Link)
Well, I am unscreening *all* of the comments. If I could turn that off just for this post I would, but I have it on because I had my LJ spammed a couple of times in the past.

Hmm, I will think about it though - it has been a while, and I suppose opening up the window for a while isn't too bad, I can always delete spam comments if they happen...

Agent M. -- Operation Fruitbat is nearly complete. Bring the materials to the drop point at 02h00. Do not under any circumstances get on the train.

Excellent. :-)

a problem with your livejournal style

The blue color of the visited hyperlinks is far too similar to the regular link color.

Yes, I'm anal.
zonereyrie From: zonereyrie Date: June 2nd, 2004 03:14 pm (UTC) (Direct Link)
You're right - I should make the visited color a bit more purple.
From: (Anonymous) Date: June 3rd, 2004 01:06 am (UTC) (Direct Link)

so, there was this cat, right? and this bag...

a secret:

i have a revoltingly huge crush on you. whenever i see you it's all i can do not to crawl into your lap. you make me think long, hard second thoughts about my otherwise happy and functional (yet unfortunately, monogamous) relationship. i keep fantasizing about our imagined life together. i want to listen to your cd's, watch your tivo, stock your fridge when you're too busy to do so, make your bed in the morning, and give you headrubs at night. you seem like a wonderful person to smoosh with. i go melty just thinking about it. MELTY, i tell you.

another secret:

i've read your livejournal in its entirety. (psst, that means i really like you.) anyhow, it was an interesting experience. so many things about you kept impressing me. we have so many things in common, like our admiration for our maternal grandmothers and affinity for condom usage. and oh, look! we're both always late for everything. (seriously, you are so like me on so many levels it's almost scary. we even use the same toothpaste.) small random things aside, i dig you because you are a profoundly good person. little things like genuine care for others and a healthy sense of humility go far with me. other things like intellectual passion and a generalized sense of enthusiasm are icing on the proverbial zoner. yum, i like icing.

anyhow, i don't know why i'm bothering to post this anonymously. i'm sure you know who this is. i'll follow your lead in blaming and/or thanking eris. hooray for you.
zonereyrie From: zonereyrie Date: June 3rd, 2004 11:21 am (UTC) (Direct Link)
Uh... Wow... I didn't think *anyone* thought of me this way. And actually I really don't know who this is - but I would really like to. I'm going to drive myself crazy trying to figure it out. :-)
From: (Anonymous) Date: June 7th, 2004 08:23 am (UTC) (Direct Link)

well...

i know i just gave myself away, but i will continue with the farce of hiding my identity. we haven't talked too many times, haven't met in person officially, and i wish this wasn't the case. You seem like a nice person, for a fellow discordian. maybe one day You will make the attepmt to get to know me better, but maybe i am not worth the time/effort.

i guess what i am trying to say is this :
Megazone You are the man, im just trying to let You know.
zonereyrie From: zonereyrie Date: June 7th, 2004 08:26 am (UTC) (Direct Link)
I think I know who this is - and thank you.
