Well, in a few hours I'll be flying back home from Vegas. This trip was OK overall. Lots of cool stuff I'd love to own. :-) But the trip was marred by illness. After my delays flying in - in Boston, Chicago, and then 2 hours waiting for my bag in Vegas, I didn't get to my hotel until almost 3AM. After eating and unpacking it was almost dawn before I could crash. Then I had to get up for Internext. I really should've crashed that night, but I let the sales guy who came to Internext talk me into going to the big party that night. (It was fun, but probably not the best move - I guess I also sent some drunken text messages...) It was also kind of cold in Vegas this week. So I think the lack of rest, chill, and alcohol opened the door for a con bug. Wednesday I felt like shit, but I still had to go walk Internext. Thursday I went back to Internext, and then headed over to CES. Friday I only did the show for a bit, then came back to the hotel and crashed because I felt wiped out. Saturday I managed to put in a full day at the show, but I was out like a light when I got back to the hotel. I never even got dinner. Sunday I got up and got ready, went and had lunch - and decided to bail on the day. So I didn't manage to see everything at CES I'd planned to see, I just didn't have the energy. So far today I think I'm so-so. I'm trying not to take meds to see if I still need them or not, and I'm not as stuffy as I was. I'm also not randomly shaking and sweating, which is always a plus. But I fear my apartment may be snowed in when I get home. I hope I don't have to shovel out my parking space before I can park and crash, I get in quite late.
