If you read this, even if I don't speak to you often, post a memory of me.
It can be anything you want, it can be good or bad, just so long as it happened.

(Really happened, not fantasy/dream/wish, that's another meme altogether)

Then post this to your journal. See what people remember about you....
I turned on screening for all comments - so you can post privately if you wish. I will unscreen the comment unless you request that I keep it private in your comment - got it?

I confess I've been really busy *and* off-kilter lately so I've let a number of these pass by without replying. If I have a chance I'm going to try to go back into my history and find some of them.

I am: busy busy
Current Media: office buzz

Me, driving us to Bangor to visit Ben for the day, with you with a cold.

My strongest memory that relates to you is this:

meeting you. I don't remember where or when, but I remember that you made an impression. We talked about Ani, we talked about school (I was still in school, I think), and we just got along.

I've been on a couple panels with you at AX a few years ago, once I think when you had a long hair, and once when you had none. That is if I'm remembering correctly about when the long hair vanished.

Make it public if you want, I don't really care one way or the other.

My favorite memory of you is when I discovered someone else loves sushi but doesn't like the fishy ones. I'd been feeling like a freak, and you not only agreed with me (which made me feel less alone), you proceeded to rhapsodize over sweet potato maki. A lot of the other memories I have of you are similar to this one, but this one makes the most sense outside of context, so other people reading it won't have to read through a page of explanation first.

The summer that I was living with you and Gryphon - I was having a really, incredibly lousy day and was in an utterly miserable mood. You had just come home (from the airport, I think) with a box of chocolate truffles, and gave me one, out of the blue. It completely turned my mood around for the evening. :)

You led a panel of fanfic writers at AX98, and I was in the second row. I remember thinking about how many people sitting up there with you I knew online in one form or another, but I had never heard of Eyrie or UF before then. :) It was a lot of fun, and I wanted to stay behind to talk with you, but since it was Caroline's first visit to AX, everyone was swarming you guys to say hi. So I went back to my room.

Publish = ok

We've replaced Megazone with this man and a vacuum cleaner. Will his friends notice?

When you came to help out with my condo and I decribed you as a long haired guy to my father. We go out, come back, and there's Zoner with NO HAIR!

You driving to King Richard's Faire in the Daytona.

Me: "Hey, isn't that the SAB Van?"
You: "Let's see..." *floors it*

Adrenalin burns the memory in place more vividly, I guess... *grin*

Heh - I was just telling that story to someone recently.

But we were in my Daytona - Dodge Daytona ES Turbo specifically, a sports car designed for high speed.

We were flying to catch up with Drummey driving the SAB Van. An extended passenger van... NOT designed for those speeds. I think I come out as the more sane driver. ;-)

I remember him going around the exit ramp in front of us so fast that gasoline was spraying out of the fill neck vent from the centrifugal force! When we got to the Faire some of the kids getting out of the van were *pale* - scared shitless. :-)
