Warning - Palm SDIO BlueTooth card doesn't work under OS5
I definitely made the right choice buying the Clie NZ90 instead of the Tungsten-C. I'd presumed that since the T|C has an SD slot and the SDIO BlueTooth card is out, that it'd work - BlueTooth being on of the reasons I'm upgrading my PDA.

Well, last night, before I caved and snapped up the deal on the NZ90, I emailed Palm asking a few questions on the T|C. They replied today, informing me that the Palm SDIO BlueTooth card does not currently work in any OS5 device, that it is pending resolution.

I don't recall seeing that mentioned before, so I thought I should share.

I am: surprised surprised

Is that the one with the flippy screen that we looked at over to Best Buy when you were up?

that was cool.

Yeah, the one I bought last night is the Sony Clie NZ90 - same form factor, just a little higher end than the one we saw at Best Buy (it is newer).

I've wanted it for a while, and the itch got worse over time - then last night I found a guy selling one with the Wi-Fi add-on card, and extra charger, and 2 128MB Memory Sticks for $725 - retail for the unit alone is $799, and the best price I could find online for the unit alone was $635, and the best price on the Wi-Fi was $145 - let alone the charger and MSs. It looked like a good deal.

Once I get it I might sell my Visor and all the stuff I have for it (GPS, backup modules, extra cradles, etc) - not sure yet. I may keep the Visor as my backup PDA incase the Clie breaks at some point. But I think I still have my old Palm IIIx too, so I may just keep that for emergency backup since the Visor bundle has better resale value.
