IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...
Opening Credits: White Russians - Kurt Swinghammer, Vostok 6 (Eh, I actually don't much like this album.)
Waking Up: Terrible Lie (Sympathetic Mix) - Nine Inch Nails, Head Like A Hole (OK, not the best mix though.)
First Day At School: Future Shock - Matthew Sweet, In Reverse
Falling In Love: The Masochism Tango - Tom Lehrer, The Remains of Tom Lehrer (Disc 3) (Yes, really, this was random.)
Fight Song: I'm Sorry - John Denver, The Very Best of John Denver (Yes, I own *one* John Denver album.)
Breaking Up: What's This Life For - Creed, My Own Prison
Prom: Miracles - Jefferson Starship, Legends - We Will Rock You (Scary.)
Life is Good: Dirty Day - U2, Zooropa
Driving: Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd, Legends - Get It On (Oh yeah, this works.)
Flashback: Educated Guess - Ani DiFranco, Chicago 1.17.04
Getting Back Together: Don't Forget Me - Red Hot Chili Peppers, By The Way
Wedding: Why Can't This Be Love - Van Halen, The Best Of Van Halen, Vol. I (Bwahahaha!)
Paying the Dues: Bailamos - Enrique Iglesias, Wild Wild West (OK, I think this went off the rails here...)
The Night Before The War: I Bombed Korea - Cake, Motorcade of Generosity (Again, this really was random.)
Final Battle: In Walks The Night - Heart, Desire Walks On
Death Scene: Forgiven - Alanis Morissette, Jagged Little Pill
Funeral Song: It's A Sin - Pet Shop Boys, Discography (Um, no. This will NOT be played at my funeral - got that Josh? ;-) Even if it does oddly fit a funeral.)
End Credits: 心のプラネット<NUKU NUKU Version> - Megumi Hayashibara, VINTAGE A
Somewhat more seriously, there *is* a song I very much want played at my funeral - or whatever happens after I die. The song is "Blue" performed by Yamane Mai on the Cowboy Bebop O.S.T.3 "Blue". It is the song from the end of the final episode.
Never seen a bluer sky
Yeah I can feel it reaching out
and moving closer
There's something 'bout blue.
Asked myself what it's all for
You know the funny thing about it
I couldn't answer
No, I couldn't answer.
Things have turned a deeper shade of blue
and images that might be real
Keep flashing off and on
Wanna be free, Gonna be free...
and move among the stars
You know they really aren't so far
Feels so free...
Gotta know free... Please...
Don't wake me from the dream
It's really everything it seemed
I'm so free...
No black and white in the blue
Everything is clearer now
Life is just a dream, you know
The lyrics really don't do it justice, it is a beautiful song.
