So close, but not quite
This is pretty cool, but not quite cool enough.

See, if it were mine, I'd have it so it could still be a pool OR a theater! I'd have a holding tank for the water, and powerful pumps to suck the pool dry in minutes, with the seating either flipping up out of the floor or maybe coming in from the sides or something. It'd be so very secret lair! Flip a switch, and in minutes the pool is ready for movies. Done, the seating vanishes and water gushes back in! That'd be awesome. :-)

I have a friend who is wanting to try to get a projection TV so that he could hold "dive-in movies" at his father-in-law's house, projecting them on the wall by the swimming pool.

I have to admit the conversion to a theater is a fascinating use of existing space.

If you had enough space for a holding tank (it'd have to be the same size as the pool) then you might as well have a pool _and_ a theater at the same time :-)

But that wouldn't be a cool! And you could use a buried tank, like the underground storage tanks gas stations use - probably just buy one of those.

I'd like to watch movies "while" lazing in a pool!
