67 Reasons that Outlook Sucks

I recently discovered an annoying undocumented screw with Outlook at work. If you have MS Office, and let Outlook use Office as its mail editor, then if you open any Word document on removable media like a thumbdrive, you have to bring up Task Manager and forcex a process in order to get Windows to say it's okay to remove the thumbdrive. The reason for this is that when Outlook is configured to use Word as its editor, it starts WINWORD.EXE... and leaves it running, even if you exit Outlook. If you open a Word document on a thumbdrive, Windows is too stupid to understand that it's not the background Word process that had the file open, so until you go into Task Manager and terminate the WINWORD.EXE process, the 'Safely remove media' option will keep coming back with "Drive [X] cannot be stopped at this time."

It should go on to add, "You can only hope to contain it."
