Me want

Yes, I realize I have absolutely no use for this. And I'm sure some people think 'guns are evil' and all - which you're free to believe, I don't agree. I just think this is cool. It seems very Ghost in the Shell.

Looks kinda flimsy, I'm not sure the major would approve.

Howzabout an FN P-90 instead? (G)

P-90 is nice but you can't fold it up and stow it in your back pocket. :)

But the P-90 is not transformeresque.

You've got me on that one... the P-90 will never sarcastically belittle Starscream.

It loses 90% of its oomph because it never actually gets fired.

I'd rather have a P90. Those are pretty well tested.
And I think full-auto is way overrated anyway.

I cringe watching him handle it. Every time he folds it up, he points it at his own chest!!! Gun safety!! I don't care if it's a mock up, don't point it at yourself!!!

The FMG concept isn't exactly new, though.

On page 69 of my R.Talsorian Compendium of Modern Weapons (from 1991) there's a listing for an ARES Inc. FMG prototype.

And a quick google pops up this.

I can think of many uses for it, but I take your 'guns are not evil' and raise it to: 'never leave home with out one'.

If they ever get it into production (unlikely) and it gets approved for sale in MA (ha, that will never happen) I'll have to buy one.

P.S. If you want to go shooting some time let me know.

P.P.S Will you be around worcester after 8pm tomorow? I'll bring back you GITS DVDs.

Since it is full-auto, buying it anywhere in the US would be tough - lots of hassle anyway.

I haven't been shooting in years, it would be fun.

And if by tomorrow you mean Thursday - yes. Movie night at my place, so I'll be home before 8PM and there all night.

Cool, I'll dig up your address or give you a call.

It sounded like there would be a semi-version of it, in addition to the full auto. Unless the GCA of '88 gets overturned new full autos are un-obtainable.
