My tweets from the past day...

  • 01:47 Movie night at my place tonight before coming into work - we watched Sukiyaki Western Django off Blu-ray: Very Awesome! #
  • 02:21 End of my second week on 3rd shift, slowly adjusting to it - still a bit rough, but better than last week. And feeling a bit more confident. #
  • 02:22 I seem to be settling into a pattern of not going right to bed but making the morning my 'night', then getting up with time to eat and go. #
  • 03:54 Aww, 3DRealms is shutting down, looks like Duke Nukem Forever is now Duke Nukem Never. Kind of sad. #
  • 07:07 I'm trying to learn MediaWiki for work - for an internal site - just ordered the O'Reilly book. I think that'll give me a jumpstart. #
  • 07:09 Working 3rd shift is a bit weird - even working from home it felt like I had more interaction with other people - con-calls, IM, emails. #
  • 07:10 I have a little overlap at the start and end of my shift with others, but it is mainly just me all night. #
  • 07:58 I think I'm realizing that I love knowledge, but I hate the process of learning. I just want to skip to the knowing stuff part. #
  • 07:59 I get frustrated when I'm learning new things, until I hit some critical mass when things start to gel and I fine a groove. #
  • 11:36 Star Trek in IMAX is fracking gorgeous. Fun movie, nice job on linking the reboot to canon while changing it up. And was that Wil Wheaton? #
  • 13:59 Hmm, I thought I saw @wilw in some of the scenes on the Kelvin in Trek this morning, but I can't find confirmation... #
  • 16:59 One month after I start my new job, my unemployment benefits were just approved. Well, I have a month of back-benefits coming, which helps. #
  • 17:00 I didn't file right away, and then there is a week's wait once you do, so just the last month is covered - but anything helps. #
  • 17:01 @chiieddy One month of benefits is unlikely to make a difference overall, it'll be a fairly small bit of my total income. #
