My tweets from the past day...

  • 14:50 Just had lunch with Nancy at Bukhaha Indian Cafe in Jamaica Plain. Tasty buffet, mmmm, kheer. #
  • 17:51 RT @MotoDroid "Five Reasons Why Android Could Kill Windows Mobile" #
  • 17:52 @MotoMobile It's a Wonderful Life. #motoCLIQmas #
  • 17:54 Man, I really wish I was going to CES again this year. RT @bjdraw Only 30 more days until CES!!! #
  • 18:50 @dduane I watched that on SyFy a while back. It is truly horrendous. #
  • 20:56< /em> Just helped someone from Berkeley, CA with a question about *ubuntu* ...on Aardvark! #
  • 22:26 Finally having a second screen to use with my laptop at work is a major improvement, a single 1280x800 screen is not enough + 1440x900 now. #
  • 22:32 I can deal with my personal laptop as a single screen - but it is 1680x1050 - big enough for a full browser plus SSH window, and more. #
  • 22:33 The best I had was twin 1680x1050 displays a couple of jobs ago, nice to be able to spread work out. But I'm not developing these days. #
  • 22:36 @blackcoat Yeah, when I did developm ent a second display was mandatory. And when I ran IT for Cyphermint I got every developer two displays. #
  • 22:37 @blackcoat One display was generally my 'corp' display - Outlook, IM, etc. The other display was dev tools, overflow to the corp display. #
  • 22:39 @jonfingas That would be nice as a desktop - largest display I've had was 21" - both old 4:3 (1600x1200) and 16:10 (1680x1050). #
  • 22:41 @jonfingas For personal use I buy laptops now, haven't used a desktop at home in 8+ years. My job requires laptop, but I have a 'main base'. #
  • 22 :42 @jonfingas Now I have a second monitor to use there, where I spend most of my time. Makes life better. :-) #
  • 22:42 I like the look of the laptops with slide out dual-displays that I've seen, I think we'll see more of those as OLED gets more common. #
  • 22:43 OLED == thinner, lighter, less power consumption. So it is easier to build in dual displays without size, weight, batter life penalties. #
  • 22:44 Of course, my Droid already has a higher resolution display than my first laptop - and faster CPU, more storage, better connectivity... #
  • 22:46 @jonfingas That does sound l ike an awesome display to have to play with. #
  • 22:48 @blackcoat Heh, yeah, I played Shadowrun and Cyberpunk 2020 in college - and we already have some tech that is more advanced. #
  • 22:53 I just looked up the specs on my first laptop - Toshiba T4800CT - 640x480 TFT-LCD, 9.5" diag. 8MB RAM, 500MB HDD, 486DX-75, Cost me over $3k #
  • 22:54 Of course, that was back in 1995. It was a hot shit laptop at the time. #
  • 23:01 @codeimpossible Ah, a young Angelina Jolie as Acid Burn. #
  • 23:23 @codeimpossible She's the real reason to watch that movie - well, and Penn Gillette as the evil hacker. :-) #
