Heh, she was, ok is, one of my fictional crushes

I also liked Stormer. I always thought that in terms of physical beauty, Roxy was hotter, but Stormer was sweeter. And if I got to have a Jem/Misfits sandwich, I'd still pick Kimber and Stormer after the episode where they left their respective bands. I'm a sick, sick person but you have to admit, they were all pretty hot.

BTW, that link either hates me and for some reason I can't get it to open, but I'd be really interested in the results. :)

That was a great episode. I often found Kimber kind of annoying because she seemed selfish, but the hookup with Stormer was good. And yeah, you're not the only one to think of that sandwich. ;-) The issue comes up from time to time on the Jem mailing list too.

But I developed a crush on Stormer back in the 80s, and I still kind of have a crush on her - I tend to fall for women with personalities like that. Or like Teleute, aka Death, from Sandman...

I need to rewatch my Jem tapes sometime. :-)

Yeah, it was an awesome episode. Kimber was certainly whiny and annoying. But, she was the youngest (being 19) and she did write all of the music. I tended to view her more annoying traits as the product of her relative youth and artist personality.

Stormer was easily the most attractive Misfit. Her vulnerability was not really found in any other character. However during the first episode of the second season when Shauna left the band to create fashions for the Hollywood actress I really found myself more drawn to her than usual. I wished they had done a more personal episode for Asha.

Ok, I'm going to stop rambling about Jem now and stop clogging up your LJ. But, if you ever want to discuss the trio of Rio/Jem/ and Jerica, just IM me. I always like to hear people's takes on that bizarre menage a trois.

I don't mind. :-)

The Rio/Jem/Jerrica thing was just fucked up. I always had a dislike for Jem/Jerrica because of her duplicity and deception. And Rio must've been ROCK STUPID not to have caught on. And it is a HOLOGRAM, when he touches Jem, like her hair, it should BE THERE. You'd think he'd notice she *felt* like Jerrica. SO he's two-timing Jerrrica with, um, herself it seems. Then there was Jerrica involved with Rio and Jem involved with Riot. If they were poly I'd have no problem - but they were sneaking around. :-)

Rio was obvioulsy a tool. There was never a question about that and was possibly the uncoolest cast member with the exception of Ashley. No, I take that back. At least Ashley did have a better wardrobe than he did. And they never really explain how the holograms created by Synergy work. At times it seemed the holograms were solid to the touch and at other times purely visual.

The thing that always got me was how whiny Jerrica would get about Rio/Jem. And then she'd be all "Showtime Synergy" and cuddling up with Rio immediately. A fair number of songs are written about/or allude to Rio's cheating on Jerrica with Jem (Who is Kissing?/Can't Get My Love Together). You would have thought at some point she would have either told him or just stopped kissing him when she was Jem. Or a Hologram would have bitch-slapped her so she'd stop whining about it. The Riot thing was a whole 'nother can of worms.

And I'm glad you don't mind; I like geeking out about Jem.
